Our services include:

  • Portable appliance testing – It is a legal requirement that any appliance fitted with a 13-amp plug top is subject to regular test and inspection and that the results are retained in a log book. We can offer you a comprehensive Portable Appliance Testing service in accordance with the Electricity at Work Act, with the added convenience of a detailed computer generated appliance test inventory.
  • Periodic Fixed Wiring Inspection and Testing – It is the responsibility of the owner of any premises that the fixed wiring installation within the building is periodically inspected and tested by a competent person. The frequency of these tests varies with type of building and should be assessed in line with BS7671: 2008.
  • Fire Alarm and Emergency Lighting Testing – Under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, all building owners have a legal obligation to ensure that the fire alarm and emergency lighting installations within the premises are the subject of a risk assessment and that the installations are regularly inspected and tested by a competent person to ensure compliance with that risk assessment and the relevant British Standards.
